Rahu and Ketu are the astronomical lunar nodes: the points where the Moon’s path meets the Sun’s path, used in eclipse geometry. Jyotish treats them as shadow grahas with symbolic stories (desire, release, obsession, detachment — the vocabulary varies by author). They are not a blood test and not a curse you can catch from a neighbour.
Common misunderstandings
Internet posts often dump every difficult feeling onto Rahu or Ketu. That is lazy reading. Traditional practice still looks at the whole chart, the Moon, and the actual life in front of the person. A node in a house does not license cruelty, rumours, or refusing medical care.
How to talk about them without harm
If a placement resonates, treat it as a journal prompt: Where do I chase status? Where do I check out? What is already in my control this week? Then talk to a human professional if the issue is health, law, or money.
Rahu/Ketu language should never be used to brand someone as impure, unlucky, or unfit to marry.
