Panchang means five limbs

A traditional Panchang tracks five daily factors: vara (weekday), tithi (lunar day), nakshatra (the Moon’s mansion today), yoga, and karana. Together they describe a civil-religious calendar used for festivals, fasting, and choosing electional moments (muhurta) in some communities.

It is not your kundli

Your natal chart is a snapshot of one birth. Today’s Panchang is the sky’s calendar for everyone in a region (with timezone and location still mattering for exact tithi changes). Mixing them — “today’s tithi proves my 7th house” — is a category error.

How to use a daily sky page

On this website, Today’s sky / Panchang is a snapshot for a saved place: orientation, not a command to act. Festival dates can be meaningful culturally. They are not permission to skip a doctor.

If two calendars disagree by a day, that is a known feature of lunar-solar reckoning and location. It is not a secret omen about you personally.

Muhurta, gently

Choosing a wedding hour or housewarming window is a living custom for some families. Treat it as a shared ritual if everyone involved wants it. Do not treat a “bad yoga” as proof that a contract is illegal or a diagnosis is wrong.
